We are using this site as a means of providing updates, sharing pictures and connecting with our friends and family. We are NOT asking for any donations and we are not really sure who or what the donations benefit.

On September 12, 2019, we decided to take Camden to his doctor after he experienced flu-like symptoms for two days and none of us could have been prepared for what we heard. Camden was immediately rushed from our pediatrician's office to Lurie Children's hospital where he was ultimately diagnosed with leukemia. We simply could not believe that our little boy who just days earlier was still attending soccer lessons had cancer. However, his condition at the hospital told a very different story. Upon admittance, he had a hemoglobin count of 1.8 and almost every doctor we encountered said that had never seen any patient admitted with such low levels and we quickly realized if we had not taken him to the doctor that afternoon we might be sharing much tragic news. We will forever be grateful to our pediatrician's office for their quick action.

As of today, Camden has received countless blood and platelette transfusions and has had a total of 5 chemo treatments. He has been specifically diagnosed with B-cell ALL and we are likely preparing for a treatment plan that will last 3.5 years depending on complications and/or his response to treatment. Our doctors are extremely optimistic about his situation and we will do our best to provide updates along the way. Here's to kicking leukemia's butt!
