On April 19th, 2018, I was given a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia – an aggressive form of blood cancer. My prognosis is pretty good with about 60% cure rate on the table with chemotherapy alone. There are many variables in regards to outcomes and potential other/further treatment but the fact that I’m under 60 and healthy are definitely positives in my column.
