Welcome to Caleb Zimmet's  CaringBridge.  We put this together for Jared & Kristi to bring everyone up to speed & establish a place for them to update everyone as they are able.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Monday, May 11th, after several weeks of sporadic nausea/vomiting, headaches & dizziness, Caleb had a MRI that revealed a tumor in the space between his cerebellum & brain stem. He was immediately admitted to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. On Tuesday, he had a drain inserted into his head to help release the fluid on his brain, & did very well with this operation.  Tomorrow, May 14th he will go into surgery where the doctors will try to remove as much of the  tumor as possible.  They were able to obtain MRI, despite limitations due to Covid-19, to do a scan of his brain while still in surgery to see how much (hopefully ALL!!) was able to be removed. They should then receive pathology results by early next week.
The virus has also caused restrictions on how many parents can be with their children in the hospital, so Jared & Kristi have been alternating time w/ Caleb. Kristi's parents, Mary & Gary, are now in Milwaukee quarantining w/ them & Mason @ their house. We're hoping both Kristi & Jared will be able to be there for the surgery on Thursday.
Caleb is so brave and calm and needs all the prayers, support, positive vibes he can get over the next few days/months. Please pray for good care, wisdom, & skill of the medical professionals who will caring for Caleb. Pray for good news from pathology in the coming day's post surgery.
We have faith that God is walking through this with Caleb and his family. He's giving us signs of his presence--Caleb was admitted to Room 413- his mom's lucky numbers (4-HS softball number & 13-HS and Marquette basketball number) Championships were won with both of these numbers on her back and we're confident another victory is in store!!! Peace & prayers to all of you!

Please  feel free to leave your message for Caleb & his family here and stay tuned for updates!

Much Love,
Zimmets
