Welcome all friends and family! I have started this site to make it easier to provide updates for everyone without anyone being kept "out of the loop". As most know, Dad is in the end stage of COPD and we moved him in with us in Bismarck on June 10th. I am so happy to have him in our house of chaos for this stage of his life. Thanks to COVID-19, both kids are home this summer. Cooper and his girlfriend bought a puppy in May and (thankfully) Courtney has also been with us to help raise their little Meeko, a Golden Doodle. Keaton's girlfriend, Brooke, has been here to visit a couple times so between the boys, their girlfriends and Skye (our Wire-Haired Vizsla) and Meeko we have a very lively home!

We all knew that Dad was losing quite a bit of weight over the last year, but I was very shocked when we weighed him in Bismarck and he was 134 lbs. Since getting here he has been eating amazingly and we could see him become more steady on his feet within the first week! He spends the majority of his day sleeping, but when awake he is in his "own world" with blue tooth headphones that he can control the sound and listen to his westerns as loud as he wants to while the rest of us can control the TV volume for the room. By far-the best invention ever!!😂

With the humidity being considerably lower in Bismarck than Alexandria, I have gotten him to sit outside for happy hour a few times. Thinking through things and his limitations, we realized he hadn't been in the sunshine for over a year before moving in with us! Moving here was very difficult for him, but I do believe that now that he is here he is okay with things?!?! We are all very happy to have him here and our goal is to get him to believe that! I can appreciate the fact that it can't be easy to live with your "kid", but I just wish everyone could understand the stress levels "kids" go though knowing that a parent requires more help than can be easily provided and yet there is not much one can do from afar.  An elephant has been lifted off my shoulders thanks to Dad moving in with us and we can now shift to focusing on providing him with some quality of life and surround him with love. I am so very thankful for all the wonderful people in our lives that routinely checked in on him, delivered necessities (like warm beer) and always offered help when needed! I want everyone to know that our home is always open to visitors! We have extra beds and there's always some kind of food in the fridge!

Dad's new address, phone numbers and email are as follows....... (he no longer uses his cell phone or email so please use the following information to get a hold of him)
