Caitlyn Potter was involved in a serious car accident on March 16, 2018. She had spent the day at the beach with friends celebrating a friend who passed away earlier this year. Caitlyn was taken from the accident scene by life flight and arrived at OHSU in critical condition. She underwent emergency surgery to stop the internal bleeding. Every organ in her body suffered damage except for her heart. Later Friday night she underwent a second surgery to reattach her neck to her spinal cord. The prognosis was not good we told she would be paralyzed from neck down. To our delight Saturday she moved both of her legs!! Sunday brought another surgery to repair damaged organs. Her spleen and gallbladder were removed, her severed liver was repaired as well as her damaged kidneys. Wednesday brought yet another surgery to repair her broken arm. She has fractured ribs, pelvis, and spine. It is a MIRACLE she is alive and is responding to people able to perform simple tasks. We will update this site as we start on this journey with Caitlyn. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
