On the morning of July 2, 2017 in rural Becker County Cael and Chalee Eystad were involved in a ATV accident along with three other children. There were 5 children all together, Chalee and Cael were the most seriously injured. They were airlifted in separate helicopters to the north memorial hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Cael sustained a broken left hand, broken right wrist, and a separated AC joint in his shoulder. He has since had surgery and is currently recovering. Chalee sustained a collapsed right lung, severely bruised left lung, a severely fractured her pelvis, and a lacerated liver. She is currently stable and in an induced coma at this time. We will keep you updated as things change.
