As many of you know, on July 25, 2017 our family received the news that would change our lives forever. Our “Butch” has cancer. Quickly over the next several weeks, we learn that it was Stage IV “terminal” appendix/colon cancer.
It has come to be known that his “entire” appendix is a cancerous tumor, he has another verified cancerous tumor in the colon, as well as a “soft-ball sized” tumor in the abdomen. Anyone that has ever met my dad knows he is a “Go Big or Go Home” kind of guy, so I guess he kept that attitude even when it wasn’t necessarily appropriate. However that “larger than Life” personality and stubborn attitude is what has allowed him to FIGHT and LIVE EVERY MOMENT for the last 3 months!
Thanks for joining our family in this FIGHT, it’s nice to know that when when we need it the most “NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!”
