On Saturday, July 29, it was found that Bud suffered a stroke on the left side of his brain. While his strength and ability to move don't appear to have been impacted, his ability to speak has. He was admitted to the Neuroscience ICU at VCU where he is being closely monitored and evaluated to try to figure out the cause of his stroke. Rest is very important as his brain and body heal but he does seem to be encouraged by visitors coming to see him.
