As some of you know, Buck is currently in the Nuerological ICU at Froedert Hospital. He suffered a series of 5 seizures Wednesday morning. He is currently on medication to stop the seizures. MRI/CT scans show that there is a total of 4 lesions on his brain. The likely cause of these lesions is an infection. What type of infection is what doctors are working to figure out. They started him on a pretty broad spectrum antibiotic Wednesday night.
Yesterday Buck had a surgical procedure done to extract and biopsy the effected tissue in his brain. Unfortunately the antibiotics could hinder the results of the biopsy if they already started to work to combat the infection.  No results have come back  at the 18 hour read of the biopsy.  Further bloodwork, MRI/CT scans will be preformed today (Friday) to see if there are any changes. Results unfortunately take some time.
Buck had a Picc line put in last night. This will be necessary to get him the antibiotics he needs whenever he is ready to come home. He will most likely have treatment for about 6-8 weeks. He will remain on seizure medication to prevent any further seizures.
I started this Caring Bridge page so I could keep everyone informed. His family and I have many many calls and texts daily that's it's hard to keep up with the updates. Please add anyone you'd like to this page. We appreciate your prayers, support, words of hope and encouragement. Buck is in good spirits and appreciates all of you as well! We love to get LOVE from all of you. It means the world to us!
