Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

The short story: Bryan had a below-the-knee  amputation on his right leg (RBKA) on March 24th, 2017.

The longer story:  Bryan presented with a wound on his right foot before Christmas.   It was discovered that he has severe Peripheral Artery Disease and the wound was non healing due to extremely reduced blood flow.  Testing found that he was not a candidate for a stent, balloon or bypass of his leg arteries.   He was provided the option for hyperbaric oxygen chamber consultation to increase blood flow, but ultimately it was decided that this would only be a short term fix.  The amputation must happen.  :-(

Bryan has been in excruciating pain for months and unable to work.  He is probably much more ready than the rest of us for this surgery/life change/adventure.

Please leave words of encouragement and check out the "ways to help" link.  There is a gofundme page set up for him, his Amazon wishlist has many things that help distract him from the pain, and I've put a few things in the "planner."
