In the spring of this year Bryan started having problems with his tongue in that he kept biting it when speaking or eating. The tongue never seemed to heal and with some other health issues that came up the problem with the tongue was put on the back burner. Over the summer the tongue kept getting worse so on July 20th he went to an oral surgeon to have it biopsied. Unfortunately a week later the results came back that it was oral cancer.
Bryan's adamant that for the time being this won't slow him down. He's looking forward to coaching fall softball and hopefully CYO basketball yet again. It's hard for Bryan to speak right now with his tongue so he won't likely answer his phone if you try and call. But, we'll gladly get together with friends and family and he'll of course be happy to share his opinions (when hasn't he) via lively text message conversations.
