Bruce Williamson

Bruce was taken to Highland Park ER after he became dizzy and winded on the Paddle Court last Monday, Oct. 17. Doctors discovered that his Aortic Valve (surgically replaced 9 years ago) is almost completely closed. He needs a new Aortic Valve. This will be done using a new procedure that does not require open heart surgery; it is know as TAVR-Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.

Bruce was released from Highland Park hospital last Wednesday, Oct. 19. Unfortunately; he had to go to Evanston ER this Sunday night (10/23) and is still there. He was admitted for an infection that has developed at the entry site where an Angiogram was done while he was at Highland Park hospital. No TAVR will be done until he is 100% clear of any sign of infection. We hope Bruce will be released this week. The timing for the TAVR is unclear but will probably be weeks from now.

We are blessed to have many friends who want to know how Bruce is doing and support us in thought and prayer. We have created this site for us to update you and for you to communicate with us. Going forward we will keep you updated with journal entries.

Blessings,
Alice, Bruce and Family
