 Thank you for visiting Bruce's CaringBridge site. 
While visiting family near Colorado Springs, Bruce suffered a stroke Sunday morning. He was first taken to a hospital in Colorado Springs for initial treatment, then helicoptered to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakeland, CO, a suburb of Denver.  There the surgeons performed emergency surgery to remove the clot. While the surgery was successful, the damage was extensive. He is comfortable, conscious, and amazingly alert. It does appear to be a long road ahead. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
