Going to go back a few days. Friday night, Dad got a call from the Dr saying that he has Acute Myloid Leukaemia. (Now he had been seeing this Dr for the past couple yrs. and was doing fine. But all of sudden some weird stuff started happening to his body in the past week) Now all of sudden he needed to be at the hospital at 7 in the morning to get him in line for the next opening on the specialty unit for leukaemia. SERIOUSLY? Ok. Told we better be ready to stay at Methodist for up to 2 weeks, Julie gets him packed and ready then off we go. We hung out in the ER until abou 4:00 that afternoon until a room became available at Methodist hospital. This hospital is very well known for this particular type of blood disease. Ranks top in the nation with the specialist on board. Since we have been here we have had to start looking at his ❤first because honestly his aortic valve is pretty crappie. So he has had an echo, amongst other 💓tests and just did the bone marrow biopsy yesterday. Thank God for Versed!!!! His spirits are good, he loves the staff, more importantly they LOVE him! Well, who doesn't? When I told my dear friend Kelly that Dad's big concern was that he didn't have time to get candy for the nurses, she rushed out and put together this amazing tub of candy AND snacks! Lets just say, He is a hit! We appreciate your prayers AND support. Please call Dad, send cards (only funny ones) and send lots of messages. Love to all!
