Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends of our dear Bruce Peterson updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In early November, Bruce began experiencing pain in his wrist. It turned out to be a staph infection that developed into sepsis. After a life-saving stay at the ICU at Fairview Southdale, he has spent the last many weeks either in a transitional care unit or back in the hospital. The latest diagnosis he received after an MRI this weekend was an abscess in the muscle next to the painful disc in his back, which is infected.

So, all through the holiday season, Bruce has been trying to recover. It has been one step forward, one or two steps backward. There have been many answered prayers and acts of love and service, and we look expectantly to the Lord for a full recovery. Thank you for walking alongside him and us. Your friendship, in Jesus, means everything.

VISITORS:  at this time, we are trying to limit visitors, so Bruce can rest and begin to regain his strength.  We will let you know when this changes, as it certainly will! Social interaction will become a very important part of his recovery, as it is one of his favorite things in life:)
