Welcome to Brooke's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
In mid January, Brooke starting having severe headaches that wouldn't go away, but only increased in intensity. In early February she went to Neenah for an MRI and doctors discovered a tumor on the right frontal lobe of her brain, similar in size to two golf balls. She is currently working with a highly recommended neurosurgeon in Madison and will have surgery this Wednesday, Feb 19th, to remove the tumor. There is no prognosis at this time, but pathology reports after the surgery will tell us what kind of tumor it is and what line of care comes next.
The best way to support Brooke and William at this time is to share your thoughts, comments and support through this website. As we learn more, we will share other ways to help and support them both.
Brooke will be at the hospital anywhere from 3-7 days after surgery. Glen & Jennings are flying in this Tuesday for additional support.
