It's always a long thinking process for Broder to decide what he wants to eat after his procedures since he is without food for so long leading up to it. A few weeks ago, Broder decided he was going to eat Sun Chips after this procedure. So we came equipped with a full bag, ready to pull it out from out bag when he woke up from the anesthesia, still groggy, but happy. We were originally told that Broder would not need a bone marrow aspirate at his one year visit, but then his transplant doctor realized Broder had agreed to do a research study that requires it, and we had forgotten all about it. I had told Broder months before that he would not need to have a bone marrow aspirate done at our next appointment in Philadelphia, so I gave Broder the choice about whether or not to stay in the study and have the procedure. Broder asked if it would help kids with cancer if he had the bone marrow aspirate, and I said yes, it would. So he decided he wanted to do it.
