Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Brock was diagnosed with relapsed ALL (leukemia) in Oct 2021. He went in to remission quickly and was able to move forward with the process of receiving a bone marrow transplant from his sister Bailey.

Brock received his bone marrow transplant on 1/20 and was doing well until he suddenly developed severe liver and kidney failure.

He was admitted to the ICU where they promptly began continuous dialysis to filter out the toxins in his blood as a result of his organ failure.

The working theory is that this is a side effect from the conditioning treatment he received prior to his transplant but the rapid rate and severity is still a question mark to his care team and not something they commonly see.

In the last few days the ICU team has been working very hard in collaboration with his BMT, liver and kidney doctors to get things under control and so far they have managed to keep the harmful and deadly side effects of his liver failure at bay.

What he needs is time to allow his liver to heal and his bone marrow transplant to work. Right now we are just being patient and supporting Brock in the fight of his life …hoping and praying for a full recovery with no more complications.
