Our little angel was born at 34 weeks via an emergency c-section on Monday June 19, 2017 due to pregnancy complications. We knew prior to delivery that Briella had suffered from bowel inflammation and at some point part of her bowel had ruptured into her abdomen. We also knew that she was growth restricted but not certain as to why. There was no way of knowing what intervention and level of care would be needed until after her birth. Briella weighed in at a whopping 2lbs 9 oz at delivery and was stabilized and transferred to Children's Methodist within the first couple of hours of her life. She then underwent bowel surgery that same day. Our lives from this point forward have been scary, but also amazing as we get to witness this little beautiful blessing that God has bestowed upon us defy the odds . We have never experienced so many tiny miracles in one day. This is now how we live, day by day. We have had to accept that this journey will be full of painful and frustrating hurtles before we get to see the victories. There will be bad days and there will be good days. All we can do is focus on one day and that is today! So to all of our friends and family reading this and following Briella's journey we want to say thank you for all of your endless love, prayers and support. We are forever grateful ♡♡
