I am the mother of two amazing children. Clara and Matthew are strong, beautiful and kind. We lost their father to a heart attack almost seven years ago. It has been a long bumpy road.
I was diagnosed with vulvar melanoma July 2014 a rather awful surgery was my hope to remove the cancer. Six months later it reoccurred And a second surgery found that the cancer had started to spread to the nodes in my groin. I underwent thirty three radiation treatments with some of the most amazing people on this planet. The tumors shrank but did not die. I had chemotherapy treatments of Yervoy which I sailed through without much negative effects.
My petScan December 22 found that the cancer has now traveled to my spleen, liver, several bones and perhaps my lung.
I start a trial drug January 19th 2016. I am hoping that this will be my miracle and I can get back to my life.
