Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family, from around the world, updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Thank you for praying for Bridgett and Bill.

On March 4, 2016, Bridgett was meeting with a student who had just returned from an outreach with YWAM-Charlotte. During their conversation Bridgett felt a "pop" and pain began to radiate throughout her chest cavity. Little did she know that at the time she was experiencing an "aorta dissection." The EMT personnel recognized something serious. After a quick trip, via ambulance,  to the local Emergency Room she was airlifted to Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte. Here she underwent an eight hour surgery to try and repair the tear. Two hours later she was back in surgery to try and stop the bleeding. All in all, within that first 24 hours, Bridgett went through two surgeries and 50 units of blood. Her heart is strong, the tear in her aorta was the emergency. One surgeon told us that he sees something like this in people under 30 years of age and the survival rate is less than 25%. She is a miracle!
