Bridget has been fighting colon cancer for the past ten years with the strength and bravery of the true Irish woman she exemplifies. It has been a battle she is handling with strength and grace. This fall she went thru her 4th round of chemo with radiation right behind the last treatment. In December Bridget developed some complications in her esophagus believed to be from the radiation. Eating has been a real struggle. Bee had to check in to the hospital at Dell Seton at UT a few weeks ago to address an ulcer that developed which was causing here severe pain. We had a hiccup last night when internal bleeding was discovered due to a fragile artery wall that began to leak. Surgery was performed and the wonderful doctors were successfully able to stop the bleeding. Bridget is stable and resting with her doctors and nurses keeping her as comfortable as possible. Prayers that this continues, so she can heal and get back home where she is surrounded by her family and friends.
