Brian is scheduled for surgery November 29th, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. The surgery is no walk in the park, but it beats the alternative! He has a neuroendocrine tumor in his pancreas and they will be doing what is known as the Whipple procedure to remove it, and some adjacent parts. He will be hospitalized for 8-10 days, with 6-8 weeks on the sideline overall. We are counting on early detection and a well developed procedure to provide a cure for this scary situation. We will provide updates as we can. The support you provide to organizations like Caring Bridge, the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, and so many others dedicated to cancer care and research is money well spent!
