March 2015:      Brian had a small, dry cough since the holidays. We didn't think much of it until 2 months later we noticed he still had it. After putting off going to the dr., not dreaming anything serious about it, we finally went to the dr. on March 16th. His primary dr. figured it was probably a bronchial irritation but just to be safe thought he should have an x-ray. The x-ray showed a dense spot on the left side so let's get a cat scan. The cat scan showed a mass in the upper left side of the lung so referred to a pulmonologist. Went to the pulmonologist and he ordered a petscan, next thing we know a biopsy, then our 1st appointment at MD Anderson on April 13th and here we are. The name of the cancer is non-small cell lung cancer. This is a cancer that non-smokers can get as well as smokers.

Please continue prayers, make him laugh, talk sports, talk about his boys, let him know what's going on in your world, just keep being the best family and friends anybody can have - we have always known our "peeps" were the most special and you are sure showing him love right now by the phone calls, texts and emails. Thank you!!

If you are reading this, you know Brian! He is a great human being!! Not to mention, husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law and friend!!!! We all love him and will get him through these challenges!!!!!
