In the early morning hours of February 5th Brian and his girlfriend Terry were involved in a house explosion at their residence. Terry was killed in the fire and Brian received significant burns to his arms, hands, legs, feet, scalp and back. He also required immediate abdominal surgery to stop bleeding in his small intestines caused by the blast. He is at Regions Hospital in St. Paul in the burn unit receiving the best care.
