On Monday evening, January 8th, Brian was experiencing a severe headache that lead to a fall.  After rushing him to the ER in LaCrosse, they took a CT scan and discovered blood on the brain.  At this point the doctors didn't know the cause so they admitted him overnight for observation.  At 6am, Dr. Watts called to say after they took a second CT scan and saw more bleeding on the brain and they were going to Medevac him to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester.  Brian was admitted to the ICU at the St. Mary's campus and it was determined after another CT scan and an angiogram that he had a ruptured brain aneurysm and was suffering from a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage.  Brian would subsequently have brain surgery the next day.
