About a month ago Bri noticed a mass in her left breast. It began to cause some pain so she decided to go have it checked out. She saw her primary doctor who then referred her to the Jane Brattain breast center for an ultrasound. They did the ultrasound, which then prompted a mammogram the same day. They decided it looked suspicious enough to warrant a biopsy. The following week she had the biopsy done and we received the results a few days after; they informed us that the cells were cancerous. She was then scheduled for an MRI for the week after, along with an oncology and general surgery consult. The MRI confirmed what they had found; and our oncologist diagnosed Bri with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Following that visit, our oncologist has laid out a plan for Bri. She will start chemo next week (week of 11/27/2020). The first round will be biweekly for 8 weeks, followed by another round that will be weekly for 12 weeks. She will have a recovery time between the rounds and after the second one. After she is done with chemo, a full array of scans will be ran again to decide the best option for surgery. Bri is currently having tests and procedures done to get her ready for chemo. She had an echocardiogram and a CT scan last week, on Friday they put in the port in her chest that the chemo will be administered through, and today she is scheduled for a covid test.

I will update as I can to keep everyone up to date. We thank you all for your support, it means so much to Bri and I.
