Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Brian was knocked off his cycle early on 25th June 2016, and broke his neck, sternum, 3 ribs, and two more vertebrae in his back; also crushed his lung and kidney.  He spent 6 months in hospital (10 weeks in ICU then 4 m in rehab.  He has been living at the edge of life since, and after 10 more months at home, battling almost constant bladder and chest infections, died very peacefully at home, on 25th October 2017.     He was pain- and stress-free, with family and close friends around.   We are inexpressibly sad, but at peace.
