Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Thank you for visiting.

Brian's road began in December 2015 when he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, an autoimmune disease where your body reacts to gluten like it is a virus, bacteria or anything else that must be attacked. It has been said that autoimmune diseases like to bring their friends, and this proved true for Brian as more was to come soon.

On August 3, 2016 things took a turn. He began having seizures and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. After 2 weeks in the hospital the doctors in San Antonio literally gave up and said there was nothing else they could do. The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN took up the challenge to determine what was going on. We don't have all of the answers yet but we are getting much closer.

Follow along here as we go down this path to find the answers, find treatment, and hopefully someday find a cure. Thanks for joining us on this road.

A recent quote from my friend TC: The hardest part of life is not having the answers ... but we have this promise: "What I am doing you do not understand now, but someday you will."   (John 13:7)
