Brian Miller Brian's Support Page

Brian Miller is so many things- a husband, father, servant of God, bird-watcher, friend, emergency medicine physician, cyclist, paramedic, and deep thinker to name a few.  On Thursday, 25-May, Brian was riding his bicycle home from work when he was struck by a vehicle.  He sustained severe injuries - bleeding around the brain, fractures to his lower cervical and upper thoracic spines, bruising of his lungs, several broken ribs, as well as an elbow/forearm fracture.  He required immediate surgery to relieve pressure on his spinal cord and has since been in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio (one of two hospitals where he has trained for the last three years).  Brian has dedicated his life to helping others - from fields back home to forests of Nicaragua, prisons down south to the inner city of Cleveland - and now he needs our help and strength on this long road to healing.  Please share a message, fond memory, big hug, prayer, and/or kind thought.  We will try to keep everyone updated through this site so that Brian's family can focus on caring for him.  While visitors are always appreciated, we may be unable to visit bedside each time - Brian and Susanna both need rest - but please spend time with family/others in the lobby and be sure to sign Brian's guest book. We have also created a support fund for Brian and his family for travel, meals, missed work, and anything else they may need -  https://paypal.me/millerfund
