Brett Eden

On Friday April 28th Brett drove himself to the ER with unbearable stomach pain. After several hours in the CCU being monitored and undergoing several scans it was determined that Brett had several blood clots in his heart, lungs, and bowel. The largest of the clots was restricting blood flow to his digestive tract and was potentially life threatening. Brett underwent 2 procedures to attempt to break up the clot and with no improvement in his condition doctor's needed to take him into surgery. Saturday he underwent an 8 hour surgery to remove the clot from his inferior mesenteric artery. Doctors also removed a 3' section of damaged tissue from his small intestine. He was kept sedated until early Sunday morning when doctors took him back to the OR to open him up once more to inspect for more damaged tissue. Late Sunday morning he was moved back to the CCU and allowed to wake up. He will spend the next few days there recovering as doctors test tissue samples to try and determine the source of his clotting, which remains unknown at this time.

We are asking for donations to help cover future medical bills as well as making up for lost income during recovery.
