On May 11th, 2017 my dad, Brent, suffered a massive heart attack and had to have open heart surgery. He then spent several days in the ICU in Topeka, KS. He was not improving like the doctors had hoped for after his surgery so his team of doctors decided he needed to receive more specialized care and he was transferred to KU Medical in Kansas City on May 27th. He is still currently there and is on the long road to recovery. Brent has had steps forward but also several steps back. As of today, June 10th, the doctors are hopeful they will be able to send him home next week! Its been a long 4 weeks of ups and downs but we have been blessed by God's hand working in Brent's health and by the love and support from family and friends.
Because of this heart attack, Brent has not been able to work for over a month, and may not be able to return to work anytime soon, if ever. With everything that has gone on, Brent has accumulated medical expenses, and will continue to generate medical bills through cardiovascular rehab and life saving devices such as a LifeVest and/or Defibrillator.
We really appreciate your financial support, prayers and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for your help in all of this!
