Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about our amazing girl. Brennan Lucille Puffer was born on July 17, 2012 with a congenital heart defect called Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Essentially Brennan was born with only half of a heart. Our daughter was diagnosed prenatally so we were able to research and decide on the best possible care for our daughter. The decision to travel to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston for her care was an easy one. TCH is the number 2 hospital in the country for pediatric cardiology and heart surgery. Brennan has already had two of the three palliative surgeries she requires to live the best possible life she can. She had her first surgery (Norwood) at three days old and her second (Glenn) at three months old. She is a month away from 4 years old and will have her final planned surgery (Fontan) on Friday June 17, 2016. Brennan is a smart, strong, sassy and beautiful little girl who is loved beyond words.
