Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Brennan was pitching for his varsity high school baseball team - the Olathe West Owls - on Monday, May 6, when he suffered sudden cardiac arrest and collapsed on the mound. His life was saved due to the quick-thinking of his coach to locate the AED (automated external defibrillator) and the knowledge of several medical professionals in the stands to use it plus CPR to resuscitate him. Brennan was then rushed to Children’s Mercy Hospital, where he remains in Pediatric ICU (PICU) for treatment. As of Wednesday, May 9, the cause of his cardiac arrest is not known.
