I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma on June 8th, 2016 after finally finding a new doctor that agreed that something really was wrong and I wasn't losing my mind with a plethora of strange symptoms over the past year. We sure didn't expect to hear the word cancer, but we were very lucky it was found at a very early stage and seems to be confined to just my left kidney.
Surgery is scheduled for the afternoon of July 6th, 2016 & my surgeon feels he can most likely only have to remove part of the kidney and the tumor with no further treatment needed.
Come along on this crazy, whirlwind journey that myself and my family never expected to be on.
