On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, Brendan went to the clinic for a follow up visit because he hadn't been feeling well for about a month.  At this visit, he was told that his white blood cell count was high, so he needed to go to the hospital.  He's been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  What the hell??  I'm in Minneapolis now hanging out with him, until we can get him back to Texas.  He needs his first chemo treatment here in MN, so he'll be stable enough to travel.  Then we'll head down south to continue his treatment.

ALL has a very, very high cure rate.  I am absolutely certain that Brendan will kick this, and that he'll be just fine.  It will simply take some time, and I'll be able to support him better if he's home with me.  I'm very grateful for all the support I'm getting from family, friends, and work.  We will absolutely get through this.
