On May 27th, 2021, I received the call that I have invasive ductal carcinoma....breast cancer.  The doctors found 2 lumps in my right breast, with cancer cells also detected in my lymph nodes on my right side.  After several weeks of many tests (& contracting covid in the middle of that!), my treatment plan was developed.  No other cancer spots were found, which was very good news.  So, I'll be going thru 20 weeks of chemo, then surgery, then another 6 weeks of radiation.  My first dose of chemo was Aug 12th, and I'm feeling pretty good right now.  Hoping by the time Marissa graduates next May, all of this will be behind me!
