Welcome to  our Caring Bridge website, bravebostonbaby, for Reagan.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Reagan was diagnosed with hypoplastic right ventricle/tricuspid atresia in utero at 18 weeks in May 2016.  After several ultrasounds and high level scans, we were advised by our UNC cardiologist to have delivery and surgery in Boston.  Reagan was born at Brigham and Women's Hospital on Ocober 20 and he went through his level 1 surgery at 4 days old, receiving a modified BT shunt and a PA band at Boston Children's. He recovered quickly and came home to NC to grow and get strong for his second stage (Glenn) operation in April.  His stage three (Fontan) operation will be around 2 to 3 years. We praise God for the healing of Reagan's heart through the prayers of His people around the country, the world, and through the hands/minds of his amazing doctors, nurses, specialists, and advisors at home in NC and in Mass. at BCH.

"He heals the broken hearted and bandages their wounds." Psalm 147: 3

Tricuspid valve atresia: In a normal heart, the tricuspid valve is positioned between the right atrium and right ventricle of the heart. This valve acts as a doorway between the two chambers and controls blood flow between chambers.

With tricuspid valve atresia, the tricuspid valve does not develop correctly and blood cannot flow from the right atrium  right ventricle, which stops the right ventricle from developing normally. As a result,  the right ventricle is too small to pump blood to the lungs as designed.

Please pray and speak in faith that Reagan is healed, healthy, and whole in Jesus's name, that he is strong and is victorious through all his procedures, tests, labs, and surgeries.

Pray for our entire family for health, peace, rest, strength, and provision.

Pray for Reagan's doctors in NC and MA for wisdom, understanding, creativity, ingenuity, health, rest, and sharp focus.

We love encouraging words and humor through comments, texts, and cards.

Reagan's identity is bigger than a diagnosis. God created Reagan with a purpose and he has a specific role to play in his family and his community. He is going to be a world-changer.

Reagan means "little king" and Michael means "who is like God?" He is adored by all of us, but especially by his older brother and sisters who knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this new baby would be a boy.

Reagan is so strong and he already has a sweet little sense of humor. His eyes sparkle and his nose crinkles up when he smiles. He's already giggling and rolling over. He has gorgeous blue eyes, a little button nose, one dimple, and in true Hall-baby fashion, huge cheeks!
