Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
Brandon was diagnosed with Amyloidosis and multiple myeloma in August 2018. Since that time he has been undergoing chemotherapy, which did help him achieve remission in spring of 2019. However, in early 2020 we discovered he was no longer in remission, despite monthly chemotherapy treatments that had initially been effective. Therefore, his Amyloidosis team decided he needed to undergo a stem cell transplant in order to achieve long-term remission.
Brandon and Marianne will be at Vanderbilt Hospital while dad has his stem cell transplant. We’ve been warned that it is a difficult, long journey, but our hope is that he will achieve long-term remission and this will allow him to return to the life and activities he enjoys. Thank you for your prayers and support!
