On Sunday, August 14, 2016, our son, Brandon Wyrick was in a horrible motorcycle wreck. That was at approximately 7 am. Around 9:15 we had a knock on our front door. It was the Chaplin for the Oak Ridge Police Dept. He informed us of the accident and that we needed to get UT hospital immediately, he was in critical condition.
His dad and I both had the same fears on that horrible ride. We were afraid of what we would find. Thankfully he was alive when we got there. He was already in surgery so we didn't get to see until after 3.5 hours of surgery. Then after a few hours he had to go back for 3 more hours of surgery for an arterial bleed.
Since then he has had three more surgeries. All his surgeries have been successful. He is still in critical condition but improving. The doctor plans to start weaning him off the respirator tomorrow. I'll be using this page to keep everyone updated. I'm also going to make another enrty later telling all the wonderful things that so many people (some who don't even know Brandon) are doing.
Brandon's friends have started a g Go Fund Me page for Brandon. You can find it here:
