Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. On March 31st, 2016 Brandon was at work started passing out. He was rushed to the hospital in Medford where they discovered he had gallstones and had to have gallbladder surgery. That surgery went well but there was a stone stuck in the common bile duct. In order to be less invasive they tried an ERCP but were unable to retrieve it. During that surgery (unbeknownst to us and the doctors) they perforated his duodenum which caused him to go septic. They waited two days to go back in to retrieve that stone and discovered the tear and sepsis. His condition continued to worsen and they air lifted him to OHSU so that he could receive further care.
