Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Here is Bo’s story: Bo lives in Deer Park, TX and was married to Tasha for 27 years. In May 2019, Bo and Tasha’s oldest daughter Adrienne died from an asthma attack and that took a toll on their family. Over the past couple of years as they have processed and grieved Bo and Tasha grew apart and divorced in July of 2021. They have remained good friends though and still talk all the time.

On August 7th we got a call from Tasha, saying that she was at the ER with Bo. He had a nasty toe infection that had gotten a little bit out of hand. He was admitted to the hospital that evening and was on the way to recovering and getting rid of the infection. In addition to the infection he was very jaundiced and his stomach had filled with fluid (unrelated to the toe). That Tuesday we got another call from Tasha and she told us that Bo had been diagnosed with stage 4 liver failure. He is in need of a liver transplant. However, he has been denied from the transplant list as of right now because of a couple of other health things that need to be worked out before he undergoes major surgery.

He is currently back in the hospital as his toe infection and numbers have gotten worse. The doctors have decided that the toe actually needs to be amputated. That procedure will most likely get done on Tuesday, September 6th. We were told this past Wednesday that without a liver transplant there is a 50-70% chance that Bo will not live past December. Bo is in need of many miracle right now and we are all praying that the next 3 months are not the end of Bo’s life. Please be praying for Jeff’s family as they process this. Pray for a spiritual awakening in them and that Bo specifically would come to know who Jesus is. Pray that there would be an unexplained amount of peace in this season as it has been really hard on all of us. Pray that we would have wisdom about what to do and the time that we spend in Houston. We have been grateful for this season in that we can be fully present with Jeff’s family as we all process this and fight for healing. We love each of you guys and are so grateful for your prayers.

We will continue to update you guys through this journey.
