Five years ago I was admitted to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD for a stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma.  I have been on chemo treatments since this time, however, they are no longer effective at holding the myeloma back.

At his time I am admitted to Avera again on a 4 day "kick my butt",  according to the oncologist, to try to kill all the multiple myeloma cells.  This includes four chemo drugs that run simultaneous for 96 hours.  So far this has gone well as far as side effects.
