Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family ands friends updated on Mom’s journey.

As many of you are aware Mom has been battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for the past year. She completed her treatment earlier this year. During her routine follow up it was discovered that the cancer is back and has changed. She is now headed into a much more aggressive treatment regimen. Today she began her first round of “RICE” chemotherapy. This is much more invasive chemotherapy. It consists of four days of daily infusions culminating with a pump at home Friday.  She will do two rounds of this. We are bracing for some pretty nasty side effects. After two rounds of this she will move on to the next step.  There are two options one is a clinical trial and the other is a bone marrow transplant. Either choice will bring major life changes. We will get her an apartment down near the hospital in Atlanta. She will complete 100 days of treatment. During this time she will have zero immune system along with her body fighting the side effects of the medications.

We are so grateful for all of your support! We hope to keep everyone updated and let you know how you can help. Our family feels all of your prayers. . . Keep them coming!!! Mom is a woman of strong faith and motivated by her four grandchildren. She is ready to  face this head on.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phillipians 4:13
