Bonnie Provan Davis was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on November 15, 2013.Bonnie was born in Pittsburgh, PA then raised in Boca Raton and moved to Atlanta where she built a life with her husband, Wayne, and three children, Zachary (16), Faith (14) and Drew (11). Caring Bridge has given her family the opportunity to share her journey.

We thought we were in the clear when we surpassed the 4 year mark of what we thought were cancer free years. In fact, microscopic cancer cells broke loose during the Whipple surgery in 2014 and created two very small tumors- one in the left lung and one in the right. So, in January, 2018 we started seeing specialists and worked on a game plan that is still unfolding.

She underwent surgery in Jan 2018, to remove one tumor. In April the tumor in the other lung was removed. We are monitoring progress through CT scans and blood work.

We visited a Specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY in July. There they did more tests, focusing on molecular testing and genetic testing of the cancer tissue.

This November will mark 5 years from the original diagnosis- a remarkable feat and true miracle for this type of cancer.

The main focus right now is to enjoy life’s moments-the good and bad ones. There is so much to celebrate. We will update the page with any new developments.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate Part II.
