Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Bonnie is fighting a rare form of Granulosa Cellular Tumors (GCT) cancer presenting primarily as numerous tumors in her lungs (more than forty) ranging in size from less than one cm. to more than 7 cm, but also a couple in her pelvis and abdomen. The original diagnosis was made by Park-Nicollet clinic and was confirmed independently by Mayo Clinic. It was suggested that we look into clinical trials since the rarity of the cancer limits the treatment options. (The Mayo oncologist has never seen GCT in the lungs. The Park-Nicollet oncologist referred to Bonnie as being "one in a million".) The only active clinical trial for GCT was at Memorial Sloan Kettering clinic which turned out not to be an option. Bonnie started chemotherapy treatment on April 22 and is hopeful the treatment will be effective if God doesn't miraculously and instantly heal her first. We are very grateful for the wonderful support and prayers received from friends and family.
