Welcome to Robert (Bob) Yager's CaringBridge site. If you would like to leave a note for the family - visit the guestbook page:
https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/bobyager/guestbookPlease note that Caring Bridge takes donations as "tributes" in honor of the person for whom the page was created. This money goes to Caring Bridge to support the operation of the website. You do not need to make a donation in order to interact or leave a note in the guestbook. No money that is donated goes to the family directly.
His family created this site to help keep friends and family updated as his disease progresses. You may be visiting this page because you are family, or a friend of Bob's or a friend or supporter of his wife Chris or his kids Leslie and Steve. No matter why you are here, we hope this site will help you feel connected and will provide a space for the family to share their experiences.
Bob has been in terminal liver failure for many years. He entered hospice care (which requires a reasonable expectation of death within 6 months) in October 2013. Those who know him know that he is a fighter and a stubborn old guy! For the first year or so, he didn't let his hospice status or dragging around an oxygen tank get in the way of getting out and enjoying life.
In March, Bob became bed-bound. His lack of strength and poor coordination meant that he could no longer stand or walk on his own. The elevated levels of ammonia in his blood means he is often confused and restless. If you are the praying type, we ask for prayers for Bob's comfort and peace as his transition out of this life edges closer. We would appreciate prayers of support for his wife Chris who has been his primary caretaker for close to a decade and prayers for his son Steven and daughter Leslie and his wife Chris as they continue to say goodbye.
