Bob Wilderman

In March 2017, Dr. Bob Wilderman and his wife of 45 years, Mary were enjoying life.  They were traveling, attending Cardinal games, spending time with their 2 kids and 5 grand kids.  Bob was playing drums with local bands and just having fun.  Bob and Mary walked three miles a day and since Bob finally retired (which was not an easy task for him (those of you who know Bob well, understand this) were having the time of their lives.

In late March, Bob had a pain in his chest and after some time, Mary insisted they go to Urgent Care for an X-Rays.  With fluid on his lungs, Bob and Mary headed up to Pinetop to see a specialist that Bob had seen before.  They were sent to the Emergency Room where Bob had liters of fluid drained from his lungs.

Then 2 days after Bob turned 72, on April 19, Bob was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.

This was quite a shock since Bob lives such a healthy life.  The next weeks were spent deciding on where the best treatment would be and Bob and Mary headed back to Phoenix where Bob was seen quickly by a doctor that was recommended.

Since coming back to Phoenix, Bob has undergone lung surgery and 2 rounds of Chemotherapy.  He has had infections and complications which have landed him in the hospital on 4 occasions. He has lost a lot of weight on his already thin body.

The family believes that God can work a miracle and Bob is fighting this Cancer every step of the way.  Mary will update this site as often as she can.  We ask that you all pray for healing and God's presence for Bob and his family.
