Bob Hein Bob's Updates

My Dad just hasn't been feeling well for quite some time now, but after many tests and scans, he chalked it up to just getting old! He takes naps and doesn't push himself to do too much. Although, he was well enough in August to drive himself and Ann all the way to Washington State and the Pacific Ocean to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary with Ann, Robin, Tim, Baillie and Claire, Bill, Irina and Simeona. It was a good drive for them seeing the country on the ground again. And it was a wonderful time with the entire family. Dad shared slides of when he and Mom met, married, had children, and grand children. He told stories of God working in his life to prepare the unique and unusual circumstances necessary for him to meet mom. Long story, short: It was the Cold War that brought them together! LOL You'll have to ask him to tell it to you! He expressed gratitude for all that he has been blessed with.

His autumn was full of more traveling, including a wedding in Denver and a road trip with Sons of Norway to North Dakota. He is healthy and active!

After some nagging back pain, an ultrasound around the first of November started Dad on another turn. There was a mass found on his liver, pancreas and spine. That led him to the biopsy that I wrote about in the first journal entry.

This is all a shock. We love him very much. Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers for us to get through this with a sense of hope and faith.
