This journey has been long and difficult - compounded by COVID-19 - but our family is so eternally grateful for the love and prayers that have been directed toward Bob in his quest for a new kidney. And, there are no words to thank the incredible donor whose selfless act of donation will restore a more normal life for Bob and get him off his dialysis machine - which takes up 11 or so hours nightly.  

The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, March 10th at 7 am at Mayo Hospital. Bob needs to call at 6:00 the night before to confirm the time of surgery. He is only expected to be in the hospital 2 days. Interestingly, Bob's kidneys will not be removed. The transplanted kidney will be added in the front! (Just a little fun fact)

Bob’s estimated recovery time is about 6 weeks. Over these 6 weeks we will update you with his progress.
